SpeakersLeading off the overseas contingent of keynote contributors in the opening plenary session will be His Excellency Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources. Joining him on the first platform will be Ms Maria van der Hoeven, who took up the reins as Executive Director of the IEA in 2011, and Mr Christophe de Margerie, Chairman and CEO of Total.

A key speaker on the Conference's second day will Ms Emma Cochrane Vice President, Asia Pacific, Africa and Power for ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing – and the third day's morning plenary session will include Mr Andrew Logue, Executive Vice-President, Siemens Limited, the company's Head of Energy Oil & Gas Division, based in Singapore.

The Adelaide Conference will be opened by the new South Australian Premier, the Hon Jay Weatherill, and the first day will also be addressed by the Federal Resources & Energy Minister, the Hon Martin Ferguson.

In addition, delegates will hear plenary addresses from some of Australia's leading upstream petroleum industry figures, including Mr David Knox, Managing Director of Santos Limited and new APPEA Chairman, Mr Peter Coleman, the new Managing Director of Woodside Energy limited, Mr J Michael Yeager, the Chief Executive of BHP Billiton Petroleum, Mr Paul Zealand, the Chief Executive Officer Upstream of Origin Energy Limited, Mr Duncan Fraser, the Vice president of the National Farmers' Federation, Dr Peter Stone, the Director of GISERA and Mr Peter Cleary, the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Santos Ltd.
